The annual Adobe MAX Awards are a global awards program that recognizes the best uses of Adobe software for creating engaging experiences. Prior to 2008, the top two finalists in each of six categories were invited to showcase their work at the MAX conference. Finalists and winners are selected by Adobe Judging Councils, which consists of a team of Adobe executives and industry representatives with a comprehensive knowledge of their category.

To be selected for a MAX Award, you must create a project that takes business processes or customer engagement to new levels. The Judging Council looks for innovation, engaging application of technology, brand building and the "wow" factor.

Adobe receives hundreds of submissions each year, all of which are very high-quality projects that push the envelope of what is possible to create.

The principal of Interarchitect has received two Adobe MAX Awards for work in the eLearning sector. In both cases, the principal was the sole architect and Flash developer on the project, and was responsible for the overall design and creation of the program. Only one other organziations has won two MAX awards: Yahoo.

Since it's inception in 2003, only 37 companies around the world have been recognized with a MAX Award for their work, including names like Yahoo, Ofoto, T-Mobile, Nike, Wachovia, NASA, BMW, and eBay.
