AT&T Voicemail Oddness

So this is really weird. My wife called me today and I missed her calls. I saw that I missed them and called back, and she says “You are cheating on my. A spanish woman answered your phone.”
Uh, what? Sure enough, if you call my phone and I miss the call, you get some prerecorded message by a spanish-speaking woman before my voicemail message. I wish I knew spanish better so I could understand what they are saying.
I got in touch with AT&T service and they confirmed this, and have had multiple reports of this today. The very helpful service agent deleted my voicemail box but that did not correct the issue. They weren’t able to fix it yet and have engineers working on it. So strange. How does something like that happen?
That’s my oddness for this morning.
edit: my bosses phone does this too. if you have AT&T service you might want to check your own phone and see if this is a system-wide thing.
