Brief note concerning the desire to purchase my glasses

After news of my Carbon Juliets came out, I’ve receieved several requests from people interested in obtaining a pair of their own…
Here’s where things stand at the moment. The Carbon Juliet, for good or bad, will probably remain one of a kind. That particular design was incredibly difficult to make, and I think that in it’s final form I wouldn’t feel comfortable selling it to someone else. After completing it I can see why Oakley went with a more robust/ticker frame and I think that the carbon Juliet will ultimately be a bit too fragile to wear regularly.
So, I’ve started on my next design, something a bit more in line with the latest Elite glasses, the Pit Boss and the C Six. This new pair will probably be a lot stronger, more wearable, and also should be a lot better/more precise of a result, as I learned a TON of things in the process of making the Juliet.
I guess the short answer as of today is that I won’t be able to make you a Juliet, for any price, really. They are just too hard to make, the mold I used got destroyed already, and I wouldn’t want to tread on Oakley’s trademarks and designs.
Maybe someday I can make my own custom line, not related to Oakley at all, but that day would be a very long time coming.
At any rate, keep an eye on my blog here and on carbonfibergear.com, as we’ll be probably reporting on the results of my various experiments in both places.
Take care, have fun, and thanks again for your interest everyone!
